Railroads played an important role in the success of the American industrial revolution and the settlement of the American West. Ride the OC&T Railroad over the 1860s line that served the boomtowns of early oil - Boughton, Miller Farm, Shaffer, Plum Dungeon, Pioneer, Tarr Farm, Funkville, and Columbia Farm. Hear the stories and see the sites of these boomtowns which lived and died by the price of oil. Listen to the tales of millionaires and villains, the foolish and the wise, the lucky and the jinxed, as men and women learned to capture “black gold” of the Oil Creek Valley.
